Terms of use
Draft of 2026-10-08
These terms cover your use of maskerei at https://maskerei.com and the masks you buy here. maskerei is run by [FULL NAME], a private individual in Switzerland (see the imprint). “We” and “us” below means that person. By using the site or buying a mask you agree to these terms.
What we sell
We sell licences to printable papercraft mask patterns: a PDF you print on card, cut out and glue into a wearable low-poly mask, with an assembly guide. There are two kinds:
- Gallery masks, designs we have picked and checked.
- Custom masks, designed by software and AI models from a sentence you type.
The price is shown on the mask’s page before you pay and includes any VAT or sales tax. The payment page may show it in your own currency. You get a file, not a physical product: card, a blade and glue are up to you.
Who sells to you: Stripe
Payments are handled by Stripe through its Link service, which acts as the merchant of record: Stripe buys the licence from us and resells it to you, collects the payment and any tax, handles fraud checks and payment disputes, and sends your receipt. Your receipt and bank statement name Link (“Sold through Link”). The payment itself is also covered by Link’s terms.
We provide the files, the licence below and support for the mask itself. Stripe may also issue refunds itself; see the refund policy.
How buying works
- On the mask’s page you tick a box to receive the files straight away, and press Buy.
- You pay on Stripe’s checkout page. You do not need an account here.
- We email you an unlock link, and the browser you bought with can open the mask at once. If you lose the link, the “Lost your link?” page sends it again to the same address.
Please save a copy of the PDF. We intend to keep your purchases openable, but we cannot promise the site will run for ever.
Your licence: personal use
When you buy a mask, or we give you one, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download the files, print them and build as many copies as you like for yourself, your household, and gifts that are not sold.
You may wear a mask you built anywhere, and show it in photos and videos, including ones you share online.
You may not:
- sell the files, or sell masks built from them;
- share the files or your unlock link publicly, or upload them to a marketplace or file-sharing site;
- remove or hide the licence line printed on each page of the PDF, which names your purchase.
The licence is for the files only; the design stays ours. It ends if the purchase is refunded or charged back. You must then stop using the files and delete your copies.
Custom masks and what you type
You are responsible for the sentences you type. Don’t ask for anything unlawful or hateful, for other people’s trademarks or characters you have no right to use, or for a likeness of a real person meant to deceive. We may refuse a request and remove a design that breaks these rules.
Your sentence is sent to an AI model provider to make the design (see the privacy page), so please don’t type personal details into it.
Designs are generated by software, so a design may look like someone else’s, and two people can get similar results. We may show designs made on the site in our gallery and sell them there. The sentence a design was made from may be shown with it; your name and email address never are.
Accounts
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google where that is offered. Anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you, so keep it secure. You can delete your account at any time on your account page; the privacy page says exactly what that removes.
Designing masks may be limited to invited people, and the number of designs each person can start per day and per month is limited; the site shows what you have left. We may pause designing, for example when costs run high, and we may suspend an account that abuses the service.
Refunds, chargebacks and access
Refunds follow our refund policy. If a payment is refunded or charged back, whether by us or by Stripe, access to that mask ends: the unlock link and every browser that held it stop opening the files.
Two refunds within a year, or any chargeback, pause new purchases for that email address and account. Write to us if you think a pause is a mistake; a person will look at it.
If something goes wrong
We check every mask against a head model, but papercraft depends on your printer, card and hands. We don’t promise that every mask will fit every head or that the site will always be available. If a mask is broken, the refund policy applies.
We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for anything else the law does not let us limit. Otherwise our liability is limited to the price you paid for the mask concerned. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Blades and glue can hurt: use them with care, and supervise children.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of [TOWN], Switzerland, have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top says when. A change does not apply to a purchase you made before it. Questions: support@maskerei.com.
